PERSONALITY,

As far as personality goes, Henry is a very straightforward person. He does not enjoy dancing around his feelings, and hates when people are vague about their own feelings towards him. He expects people to be honest, and gives that very much in return.



While his feelings are quite the open book, Henry holds his personal life close to his chest. It's hard to get him to let you in and he doesn't trust well, but once he does trust, that trust is there to stay. He is quite loyal for a Vampire.



He comes off a bit brash and tactless with how straightforward he is, and people can be quite put off by that. His distrustfulness of letting people close to him also shows, and if he's not in his columnist persona, Henry can be quite difficult to approach.



The people Henry cares for get to see the gentler side of Henry, the side that wishes he could lay in the sun more and cloud gaze or read a good book, the side that wants to try his friends' cooking without having to throw it up later, the side that yearns to enjoy life alongside people he loves. He is very gentle with people he loves, and it is a stark contrast from the distrust he shows those he doesn't know.

HISTORY,

Henry Jules was born in Florence, Washington to two Telekinetic parents. It was to no surprise that he also came into his Telekinetic powers before he hit 5 years old. While not a particularly strong Telekinetic, Henry was often seen using his powers to make playing more interesting, making his toy cars and dolls move on their own, narrating their stories very dramatically. He was quite a cheerful and dramatic child, after all.



He grew up very loved, and his parents taught him everything they knew that the school didn't. When he got his first job at the local blood bank when he was 19, his parents were incredibly proud, as was he. Henry was even more proud when one of the supervisers took a personal interest in Henry's career. Neither Henry nor his parents thought anything of it, and Henry worked happily at the blood bank for two years.



Shortly after Henry turned 21, his parents invited his superviser over for dinner, and the Vampire was all too happy to accept.



It turned out that this Vampire had taken an interest in Henry because his blood smelled appealing to him the moment Henry walked into the blood bank. Henry never learned why the Vampire killed his parents, and he never learned why the Vampire didn't just kill him too and turned him instead.



When Henry woke up three days later in the hospital, all he knew was that his parents were dead, he was a Vampire, and the Vampire responsible had left.



For a while, Henry withdrew on himself as he adjusted to vampire life. When he finally reemerged from his seclusion, he didn't immediately seem different. But those who knew him before the incident noticed how distant he was, and how he kept people at arms' length to avoid them. It was a wonder, then, that he got a job at the newspaper.



He slowly worked his through the paper, proving himself time and time again to deserve the life advice column he now has.
